A few blocks from my place is Tompkins Square Park, a small tree-filled space in the heart of Alphabet City. It's home of New York's first and biggest dog run, where city dogs get to run free and sniff each other with abandon. It also hosts the annual Halloween Dog Parade, now in its 16th year. Here are some pictures of the contestants.
