The Alberta at the Smithsonian Festival is being held this year from June 30 - July 11 on the National Mall in Washington DC, a scant 4 hours from New York. Originally I decided not to attend, but the night before I went to a Stompin' Tom tribute concert in Brooklyn and after hearing "Bud the Spud" and "The Hockey Song" for the second time I was all fired up so I headed for the Port Authority and jumped on the first DC bound bus I could find.
